Terms of service

How the work is agreed: where the estimate comes from, when the price becomes binding, how payment works, who buys the parts, cancellations and rescheduling.

Who provides the services

Services are provided by HAWK.FIX — Jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza, Warszawa, Polska. Contact: hawk.fix.office@gmail.com, phone +48 532 481 505.

These terms cover two things: how to use this site, and how we carry out jobs accepted through it.

Services provided electronically

We provide the site's content, the estimate calculator and the request form free of charge. No account and nothing to install.

The contract for the electronic service begins when you open the site and ends when you leave it. For the form, it begins when you send a request and ends when we finish handling it.

You can abandon the form at any time simply by not sending it.

What you need technically

A device with internet access and an up-to-date browser. The price list and the content also read fine with JavaScript off; the calculator then does not add items up.

Sending a request needs a working phone number — otherwise we have no way to answer.

Supplying unlawful content is prohibited. This applies above all to the fault description and attached photos: do not send other people's data, images of people without their consent, or anything that breaks the law.

Scope of work

Small repairs, fitting, servicing, cosmetic refurbishment, cleaning, moving and work in the garden and on the plot: Warsaw and 25 km around the city. Moves and garden work are also done beyond Warsaw, with kilometres charged separately.

We do not work on gas systems, the building supply connection, load-bearing walls or structural elements. Work requiring a design, scaffolding or specialist access is outside the standard price list. We verify the electrical scope and required practitioner qualifications before accepting an order.

We will refuse work that would be unsafe or that cannot be done properly. We say so straight away, not after starting and taking a deposit.

We fell trees only on the instruction of the property owner and once the required council notification or permit has been shown, where the rules call for one. Getting that permission is down to the owner; without it we do not start.

Estimates and forming a contract

The figure from the calculator is an estimate based on what you tick. It is not an offer within the meaning of Art. 66 of the Polish Civil Code and not a binding price.

We agree the binding price before starting, having seen the job on site. That is the point at which a contract for the work is formed.

If the scope turns out larger once we start — a further fault visible only after removing a cover, say — we stop and agree a new figure. We do nothing we would later invoice without your agreement.

An initial estimate from a description, photos or video is free. A call-out with basic inspection and diagnostics in Warsaw costs 246 zł even without a repair. If you commission further work, this amount is included in the price rather than charged twice. Extended electrical fault location is a separate service from 350 zł; scope and price are agreed before starting. Same-day arrival: 50% extra, capped at 300 zł. Outside Warsaw, travel is agreed before the visit. If we cannot carry out the order due to our own mistake, we do not charge. The fault-location price includes the minimum call-out; it is not added again. Repairs are priced separately.

Prices and payment

Rates are for labour per stated unit, excluding materials and parts. The minimum call-out is 246 zł, including inspection-only visits; cleaning has a 250 zł minimum and minimum hours. Small tasks can share one visit. “From” prices are estimates.

Travel tops labour up to the applicable service minimum; chargeable mileage outside Warsaw is extra. Necessary return visits within the agreed scope are included. Separate visits, such as plant watering, and additional work are charged separately. Same-day arrival: 50% extra, capped at 300 zł.

Payment after the work is done: cash, or bank transfer against an invoice payable within 7 days.

Invoices are issued at no extra charge, to the details given in the request. Prices are in Polish zloty.

The call-out within Warsaw is a separate line of the estimate and tops it up to the 246 zł minimum visit. Beyond the city we add kilometres at the rate shown in the calculator.

Materials and parts

Consumables needed to do the work — plugs, screws, tapes, seals, silicone, saw blades, cutting blades, discs — are paid for by you. The price of the service covers the labour and the tools and equipment the work requires.

You can supply suitable materials and parts or order them from us. Consumables — plugs, screws, tapes and seals — and parts are charged separately from labour. We agree their scope and price before purchase or use. Equipment and tools are included in the labour price.

We are not liable for defects in materials you supply; if we can see a material is not fit for the job, we say so before fitting it.

Timing, cancellation, no-shows

The hour you pick in the form is a preference. We confirm the actual time before setting off, by phone or message.

You can change or cancel free of charge up to 3 hours before the agreed time.

If nobody is at the agreed address and you do not answer the phone, the next visit is treated as a new job.

Consumer right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a distance or off-premises contract without giving a reason within 14 days. A statement sent to hawk.fix.office@gmail.com is enough.

One exception matters for repairs: there is no right of withdrawal where you expressly requested that we come out for an urgent repair or maintenance — Art. 38(8) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act. This covers same-day bookings and emergencies.

The exception covers only what you asked for. If we additionally perform something else, or supply goods other than the spare parts needed for the repair, you may withdraw from that part under the general rules.

There is also no right of withdrawal where the service has been fully performed with your express consent and after you were told you would lose that right — Art. 38(1) of the same Act.

If you ask us to start before the 14 days are up and then withdraw, you pay for what was performed up to the moment of withdrawal — Art. 35 of the Consumer Rights Act.

The same protections apply to a sole trader where the contract is not of a professional character for them — Art. 7aa of the Consumer Rights Act.

Complaints

Send a complaint to hawk.fix.office@gmail.com or call +48 532 481 505. Give the date and address of the job, describe what is wrong, and attach a photo if you can.

We answer within 14 days of receiving it. No answer within that period means the complaint is upheld.

An upheld complaint is settled first of all by putting the work right at an agreed time. Where that is impossible or pointless, we reduce the price or refund the payment.

Complaints about the site itself — the form failing to send, for instance — go the same way.

Liability

We are liable for damage caused through our fault during the work, under the Polish Civil Code.

We check walls with a detector before drilling. We are not liable for services routed contrary to standards and undetectable by a detector, but we always say so immediately and help put the consequences right.

We are not liable for the consequences of earlier work done by someone else, nor for faults in items already damaged before we arrived.

We are not liable for site outages caused by our hosting provider, nor for the consequences of wrong contact details given in a request.

Disputes

Polish law applies. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection of mandatory rules of the law of their country of habitual residence.

A dispute with a consumer is heard by the court determined under the general rules — for a consumer, usually the court of their place of residence.

Before going to court, a consumer can use the free help of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman, or out-of-court dispute resolution before the Voivodeship Trade Inspectorate. The register of authorised bodies is kept by the President of UOKiK and published at polubowne.uokik.gov.pl.

The EU ODR platform was shut down on 20 July 2025 under Regulation 2024/3228 and no longer accepts submissions — which is why there is no link to it here, even though it still appears in other companies' terms.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the scope of services, the way we charge, or the law changes. A new version applies from the day it is published on this site.

Jobs already accepted are governed by the version in force on the day the request was accepted.

The date of the last change is shown below.
